Flydubai launches flights to Tashkent

Flydubai will be the first UAE airline to operate direct flights to Uzbekistan.

Dubai, UAE. Dubai-based Flydubai has announced the launch of flights to Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan. Flights between Dubai and Tashkent will begin on March 11, 2019 and will be carried out five times a week, and from May 31, 2019 will become daily.

Flydubai has operated flights to Central Asia since November 2010. The first destination in this region was Ashgabat (Turkmenistan). Since February 2012, the airline has operated flights to Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan); since April 2013 - in Dushanbe (Tajikistan); since September 2014 - in Almaty and Shymkent (Kazakhstan); from October 2015 - to Astana (Kazakhstan). After the start of air transportation to Tashkent, Flydubai will operate 33 flights a week to seven cities in Central Asia.

The airline will operate flights on the new route from Terminal 3 of Dubai International Airport on the latest Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, providing passengers with greater travel comfort. Flydubai's growing route network spans over 90 destinations in 47 countries. Emirates will place its code on flights along the new route as part of the code-sharing agreement with Flydubai, announced in July 2017. Flydubai will operate FZ1941 / FZ1942 from Terminal 3 of Dubai International Airport (DXB) to Tashkent International Airport (TAS) and back five times a week. The cost of a return fare (round-trip) of a business class starts from 7,500 dirhams (US $ 1,785), including 40 kg of checked baggage and all fees. The economy class fare starts from AED 1,545 (US $ 420), including 7 kg of hand luggage and all charges.
