On December 13, the International Business Forum "Spheres of Cooperation between Ukraine and the UAE" was held in the building of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The Ukrainian delegation at the forum was represented by officials of the state apparatus of Ukraine and the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, including the Prime Minister of the peninsula, ministers of economy, finance, industry, transport, communications and the fuel and energy complex. Also, Ukrainian parliamentarians, representatives of the state property fund responsible for the privatization of state companies, as well as a large number of Ukrainian businessmen interested in establishing cooperation with the Emirates arrived in Dubai.
The main event of the forum was the holding of two round tables on the topics "The upcoming privatization of Ukrtelecom" and "Presentation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea".
Discussion of the round-table discussion devoted to Ukrtelecom aroused the greatest interest of representatives of both sides. Being the largest and leading provider of communication services in Ukraine, serving more than 10 million people, Ukrtelecom today is preparing to reach a new level. It is planned that after the completion of capitalization (valuation of the enterprise), 43% of the company's authorized capital will be sold at public auction, and 57% of the shares will remain in state ownership. During the round table, delegates exchanged experiences and ideas regarding the transition of state enterprises to the category of joint-stock companies.
The round table "Presentation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea", at which Minister of Economics Pan Ogorodnik spoke, told foreign guests about all the advantages of the main resort region of the former Soviet Union.
From the Ukrainian side, the forum was organized by the Ukrainian Trade Center in Dubai with the full participation of the Investment and Privatization Assistance Fund (FSIP) and the Financial and Consulting Group (Kiev), which already have successful experience in holding round tables and forums in London, Paris, Bonn and Vienna. u1057 From the UAE, the organization was engaged in the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
