Jumeirah Group will double the number of hotels

The international hotel chain Jumeirah Group, headquartered in Dubai, will double the number of hotels by 2018, despite the geopolitical crisis in Ukraine and economic problems in the Eurozone and China.

Currently, the average occupancy rate of the hotel chains operating today in the UAE, Kuwait, China, Great Britain and Italy exceeds 80%, which is an indicator of great success.

The network is considering opening new hotels in St. Petersburg and Moscow. The company also said that they did not record a sharp decrease in the number of Russian tourists. According to the president and chief executive officer of the company, Gerald Lawless, despite the crisis in Ukraine and the decline in oil prices, the number of tourists from Russia in the hotels of the chain remains at the same level, mainly because we are talking about wealthy people who were not affected by economic disasters.
