Bahodir Jalal Solo Show

The solo exhibition of the luminous Uzbek painting of Bahodir Jalal called Zoetic ("The Art of Living") will be held in the Andakulova Gallery from March 2 to May 14. The exhibition will demonstrate the work of the master, called a legend during his lifetime, over the past two decades.

About himself, Bakhodyr Jalal says that he is a man who has passed fire, water and copper pipes. Fate in the face of the powerful of this world was sometimes favorable to him, and sometimes not very. In his life there were ups and downs. But this man, thanks to the constant work on himself, the constant desire for self-knowledge and knowledge of the universe, managed over the years to achieve inner harmony, as evidenced by his whole life.

The master’s works adorn private and public collections in Uzbekistan and abroad: they are stored in Buckingham Palace, the British Museum, the State Tretyakov Gallery, and the foundation of the International Confederation of Artists' Unions in Moscow. They include admiration for the masters of the Italian Renaissance, and tribute to Russian artistic traditions, and the embodiment of unique Central Asian motifs, and very successful trials in avant-garde.
