56 million flowers planted in Dubai annually

TOURISTS ARRIVING IN DUBAI IN WINTER AND SUMMER, TOURISTS SAY THAT THE CITY IS ALWAYS COLORED, ALL THE OWN STREETS ARE DECORATED WITH PATTERNS FROM VARIOUS FLOWERS AND PLANTS.

So, in Dubai in 2015, 56 million flowers were planted in parks, near mosques, schools, public and government buildings, and even along roads to ennoble city landscapes. Landscaping using flower stands is carefully designed and executed by the landscape department of the Dubai municipality.

Gamma and color are selected in accordance with the environment, as the color palette has a huge psychological effect. For example, along the roads where traffic jams are observed, colors are specially selected that soothe, relieve stress and charge positively. On highways, a range is selected that can charge drivers with energy and passion.

And this is not all, at the planning stages to create balance and harmony in the composition, the texture, contrast, color, scale of the picture and the repetition of individual parts of the ornament are determined. Depending on the season, the most common flowers for ornaments are petunias, marigolds (marigolds), zinnia, catharanthus, sage, snapdragons, pelargonium, ageratum and beetroot, the seeds of which are imported from different countries, such as Italy, Japan, Holland and the USA. Before entering the streets of Dubai, all seasonal varieties are first grown in a nursery in the municipality of Dubai. Recently, the Department of Parks and Gardening in the municipality of Dubai has created an experimental plant station, where the municipality has grown 120 species of flowers for planting. For planting, only flowers are selected that are suitable for special parameters size, volume, color purity, long life cycle and disease resistance.
