Special Olympics World Games Abu Dhabi 2019 is the largest sports and humanitarian event in the world, which will be held from March 14 to 21, 2019 and will bring together 7,000 athletes from more than 170 countries who will compete in 24 official Olympic sports.
These Games will be the first ever Special Olympics held in the countries of the Middle East and North Africa, and the most universal in the entire 50-year history of the "Special Olympics".
At the 2019 Special Olympics in Abu Dhabi, athletes will compete in 24 different individual and team sports. At special Olympiads, athletes with intellectual disabilities compete regardless of their level of ability.
Special Olympics is more than a sporting event. This is a humanitarian action that takes place 365 days a year and involves active physical activity. The goal is to develop a set of inclusive programs in addition to actually participating in the Games.
