The first emirate astronaut will "cover" a traditional dinner on the ISS

The first ever Emirate dinner will be held at the International Space Station to mark the arrival of the first astronaut from the United Arab Emirates.

The Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center (MBRSC) announced that the first emirate cosmonaut, Khazaa Al-Mansouri, will hold a traditional Emirate dinner at the International Space Station (ISS) upon arrival in September this year.

Al-Mansouri will be dressed in a traditional Emirate outfit and will offer his colleagues three Emirati dishes - madruba, saloon and balalit. Nothing like this had happened on the ISS before.

Last month, the al-Mansouri diet in space was named. Hazza himself composed it from national dishes along with Sultan al-Neyadi, who also claimed to be the first astronaut from the UAE.

The preparation of dishes for the emirate astronaut will be undertaken by the Russian company "Space Nutrition Laboratory".

"It is a great honor for me to become the first astronaut to hold an Emirate dinner on board the ISS in order to promote the Emirate culture, which I am proud to share and share the delicious Emirati cuisine ... I’m sure they will like it," Al-Mansouri said.
