A competition for the best fountain design for Expo 2020 with a prize pool of US $ 27.3 thousand has been announced in the UAE.
Dubai, UAE The Art Jameel Arts Center, which oversees the Sabeel initiative ("fountain") of the global exhibition "EXPO 2020", invites designers, architects and artists from the UAE and from around the world to take part in a competition for the best design for a public drinking water fountain in innovative style.
The filing date is until August 31 of the current year. The jury will select three winning designs, the author of each of them will receive a prize of 100 thousand dirhams (US $ 27.3 thousand). According to the best models, fountains will be built in the town of "EXPO 2020", which will become symbols of the world exhibition and the new Dubai.
The Sabeel project fits into the theme of the world exhibition "Connecting Minds, Creating the Future", its subtopics of opportunities, mobility and sustainability, and recalls the importance of water as the most valuable common resource of mankind.
