Tourist flow from Russia to Dubai grew by 74%

Dubai announced a significant increase in tourist flow from Russia in the first half of 2018.

Dubai, UAE. In the first six months of 2018, Dubai was visited by 405 thousand tourists from Russia. This is 74% more than the same period last year. This was announced at a press conference in Moscow by the Director General of the Tourism and Commercial Marketing Corporation of Dubai (DCTCM) Issam Kazim.

In total, 530 thousand Russian citizens visited Dubai last year - 120% more than in 2016. Such a sharp increase in tourist flow is facilitated by the abolition of entry visas for Russians by the UAE authorities.

The increase in the number of Russians in Dubai has also led to an increase in the number of flights from Moscow. For example, from October 29 Aeroflot will add the fourth daily flight from the Russian capital to Dubai, and from October 25 Emirates will fly to Moscow three times a day (now twice).
