Abu Dhabi authorities will cancel car parking fees for Eid al-Adha celebrations.

Next week, for six days in honor of the Eid al-Adha holiday, parking will be free throughout the entire emirate of Abu Dhabi.

The day before, representatives of the Abu Dhabi Department of Transport (DoT) announced that they would make parking free of charge in the entire emirate from Sunday August 19 to 07:59 Saturday, August 25.

DoT urged residents not to leave cars in prohibited places during the celebration of Eid al-Adha, blocking traffic.

Also, department employees persistently asked motorists not to occupy parking spaces allocated for residents of houses from 21:00 to 8:00.

“During Eid al-Adha, all citizen service centers will be closed, work will resume on Sunday August 26,” the Abu Dhabi Department of Transportation said in a statement.

Dubai Roads and Transport Committee (RTA) has also unveiled a timetable for Eid al-Adha.

Thus, service centers will be closed from August 19 to 23 and will open their doors only on August 26.

Nevertheless, as usual, a smart customer service center in Umm Ramul will operate around the clock.

In Dubai, also all public parking lots, with the exception of multi-level parking lots, will be free from Sunday August 19 to Friday August 24.
