Emirates airline from the UAE will abandon the porthole in the aircraft

Emirates Airline from the United Arab Emirates has figured out how to replace the standard portholes in its aircraft.

Emirates UAE President Sir Tim Clarke said the carrier’s planes will not be equipped with portholes in the future. In their place will come virtual windows that project images from cameras. Such windows can be found in the first class of the latest Emirates Boeing 777-300ER.

According to Tim Clark, the images "are so good that it's even better than watching what is happening outside the window with your own eyes."

The airline claims that this approach opens up the possibility of replacing all windows with projection windows on planes, which will make planes easier and faster. They will also consume less fuel.
