Dubai and three more emirates announced free parking for residents in honor of national holidays.
The Dubai Highway and Transportation Authority (RTA) has announced that all paid parking will be free, with the exception of multi-level parking spaces from Thursday, November 30th to Monday, December 4th, 2017. The initiative is dedicated to the celebration of the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad, the Day of the Martyrs and the National Day of the UAE.
Abu Dhabi residents will also be able to park their vehicles free of charge between November 30 and December 4, the emirate’s transport agency said. The offer applies to all ground parking in the emirate from midnight November 30 to 8 am on December 4.
Parking will be free in all public areas in the emirate of Sharjah from Thursday, November 30 until Sunday, December 3, said the municipality of Sharjah.
Ajman Municipality also announced free parking during weekends, from Thursday, November 30th to Sunday evening, December 3rd.
