Higher and higher and higher!

In early February, in the beautiful, green and cozy city of Al Ain, under the patronage of His Majesty General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Command of the United Arab Emirates, the 9th international aerobatics show organized by the Tourism Authority was held Abu Dhabi (ADTA) and annually attracting hundreds of tourists and residents of the UAE.

Despite the fact that the start of the show was scheduled for February 2, but due to a sandstorm and poor visibility, it was first transferred to the third, and then to the fourth, and the audience and participants were rewarded for their long patience and desire to win.

This year, the organizers of the aerobatic show in Al Ain were again able to surprise all guests with their original approach, having prepared an extremely diverse program of performances and entertainment. For the first time at the airport, where this event is traditionally held, an interactive town was created, consisting of 5 thematic sectors. In addition, in the first two days, Emirate students and schoolchildren were allowed on the show for free.

In the "Education Sector", the guys could meet with top-class pilots participating in aerobatics competitions annually, and films about the flights provided by the sponsor were shown on large screens. In the "Entertainment sector" there was an opportunity to "ride" in balloons, go karting, jump on trampolines and play a game of mini-golf. In the "Family Sector" numerous playgrounds for children were created, inflatable castles in the air were installed, funny face painting and a lot of fun games were held. A variety of drinks and snacks were served at the Restaurant Sector, and souvenirs and gifts could be purchased at Torgovy. All this was done so that, in anticipation of these flights, neither the pilots nor their fans would have to get bored.

Among the main and most remembered attractions should be mentioned a demonstration on the screens of the latest military aircraft and helicopters, freely strolling in the crowd of the well-known in the Middle East popular character Majid and friendly to all Pilot Bear.

And finally, the long-awaited start of the aerobatics show was given, in which all the best pilots and aerobatic teams were able to demonstrate their skills in performing the most difficult tricks in the air, both independently and synchronously.

This year's aerobatic show showed more than 25 aircraft, as well as the leading crews of the planet - from Saudi Arabia, the countries of the region and Europe. The main highlight of the program was the performance of the 6 best pilots in the world, who competed for the award in the nominations "Best Classic Flight" and "Freestyle". The show also hosted dangerous and breathtaking performances by acrobats performing virtuoso stunts on the wings of aircraft in flight.

The official sponsor of the aerobatic show this year was Emirates Motor Company, the flagship division of Al Fahim Group and the official Mercedes-Benz car dealer in Abu Dhabi. The company organized and presented an extremely interesting car show with professional drivers, and demonstrated the latest Mercedes-Benz models. According to the organizers, Al Ain Aerobatic Show 2011 was visited by more than 40 thousand spectators. And this in bad weather, which forced to change all plans on the go! What will happen next year when the sun will shine over Al Ain and the surrounding area, and there will not be a single cloud in the sky? Wait and see. In the meantime, we will admire those who seek to rise higher and higher and higher ...

See you next year!
